Bracken Bowen

Bracken Bowen, born 1991, spent eight years showing cutting horses then moved to the calf and team roping arena. He demonstrated horsemanship abilities that set him apart from other competitors. Swinging a rope came natural to Bracken. With his background in cutting, ridding rope horses came easy to him. Bracken started roping heavily in high school where he joined the High School Rodeo Team. Bracken enjoys roping, training rope horses, and breaking young colts. Much of Brackens skills with horses, and especially young ones, are credited to his father, Frank Bowen, who he shadowed.

Janet Bowen

Janet Bowen, DVM born in Eastland, Texas, grew up on the east coast showing hunter jumpers.  Janet graduated Texas A&M, from Vet School in 1987.  Frank and Janet married in 1988.  She was introduced to the cutting world by Frank and has been cutting ever since. Janet has a lifetime earnings of $174,000+ in NCHA, ACHA and WCHA dollars and received a bronze rider award in the non pro division. Janet won the NCHA $10K Non Pro Reserve World Championship in 1993 riding Sugs Anna Lee, her first grulla mare.  This wonderful mare fueled Janet's passion for grulla cutting horses.  Janet is now on her fifth generation of grulla cutting mares, and looks forward to many more. In 1997 Janet began developing her skills performing embryo flushes.  Due to her successes, Janet now offers a limited embryo service to outside customers. Janet also offers a mare foal out service.

Frank Bowen

Frank Bowen is an accomplished cutting horse trainer with lifetime earnings of over $700,000+ in NCHA (National Cutting Horse Association) dollars.  Frank grew up in the foothills of Idaho, ranching and team roping.  After graduating from Ricks College, with an associate degree in Horse Management and Training, Frank moved to Texas and began his career training cutting horses. Mare Care

Dr. Janet Bowen

Dr. Bowen, a 1987 Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine graduate. 28-years-ago Dr. Bowen began developing her breeding skills on her own personal mares for several years. In addition to gaining experience on her own mares, Dr. Bowen audited many busy embryo centers and attended numerous veterinary breeding seminars. Eventually Dr. Bowen offered her skills to other cutting friends and associates. Due to her success, the practice has developed into a busy breeding, embryo transfer, and foal out service.
